been informed by these societies that they have no wish to resume work in Hong Kong and would prefer to carry on their operations in the future in the province of Kwangtung. We think, therefore, that the best plan in regard to these missions would be that the property should be sold and the proceeds handed over to the recently constituted board of trustees to be held by them in trust on behalf of the respective missions and to be paid over to these missions for use for missionary work in the Kwangtung Province when the trustees are satisfied that proper use will be made of the funds for this purpose.
It would be necessary, more particularly in the case of the Hildesheim Mission, to safeguard the rights of any orphans or others who may have claims upon the funds of these missions.
